It seems that Francis Xavier should be known as a revolutionary in modern missions. He appeared to use some great tactics when abroad in missions, that actually proved to do well. It looks as though one of the most impressive things about his work would be that he seemed to recognize that “Christianity had to be presented in the Japanese language and that becoming a believer should not require a change of culture. ” [1]  This is clearly revolutionary, even to the modern missionary who is just learning about missions, and the history of such.
