Mormons Mormonism is described by many as being polytheistic , meaning that Mormons worship many gods. They are often placed in the same category as Hindus, or the ancient Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians. The problem with this is that Mormons do not worship many gods (with the exception of the three separate beings in Tri-theism), but they only acknowledge many gods. From their perspective, this is called Henotheism . Henotheism is the belief that other gods exist, but that only one of the gods is worshiped. Only one god captures the attention of its subjects. Mormons call this god, “ Heavenly Father .” Mormons believe that when you die, if you were good enough in this life, you will ultimately reach the highest of heavens, and you would become a god of your own world. I think the question above should be divided into two parts. As in, the question assumes too much and makes a type of category mistake from a hasty generalization. The first question should be, “Can a person walk away from his or her salvation?” The second question should be, “Will God ever take away a person’s salvation?”   Can a person walk away from his or her salvation ? The first question, “ Can a person walk away from his or her salvation ?” has been a strong point of contention for hundreds of years. I have heard someone tell me once that “if someone is truly ” saved, they would never walk away from their salvation.” I really liked that because it answered a lot of questions that I had concerning such. The word “ truly ” seemed to settle things in my mind. If one did walk away from Christianity, then it seems that they were never “truly” saved. "They picked up stones to stone  Him." There are several passages in the Bible that tell us that people picked up stones to throw at Jesus until He died. Why would anyone want to do such a thing? Seriously, think about this… is there anyone in your community that you feel so strongly sour about them that you would pick up stones in order to throw at him to kill him? Not only would it make a mess, but then you would have to deal with a dead body as well as questions after the fact. This was the case on several accounts for Jesus. It seems that some Jews did not really take a liking to him from the start.
