Often, people are hostile toward Christianity. It seems that a first step in helping someone come to know Christ personally is to help them change their belief about Christianity from hostility to sympathy. How do we encourage this hostility to turn into sympathy, let alone, humility? It seems that a major key for this is found in 1 Corinthians 9:19-23:   Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. It seems that Francis Xavier should be known as a revolutionary in modern missions. He appeared to use some great tactics when abroad in missions, that actually proved to do well. It looks as though one of the most impressive things about his work would be that he seemed to recognize that “Christianity had to be presented in the Japanese language and that becoming a believer should not require a change of culture. ” [1]  This is clearly revolutionary, even to the modern missionary who is just learning about missions, and the history of such. Aside from sin, post-modernity is likely the most prominent disease in the human mind today ( Some   might even argue that Post-modernism is sin). Post-modernism is, in a nutshell, the idea that everyone has his or her own truth. It is found in many   cultures and worldviews , including tribal, new age, atheist, eastern religions,   Baha’i , and such, but is also found in   individuals’ thinking   in discussions regarding subjects like abortion (e. g. Jesus said, “Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” ~John 18:37-38.   About 20 years ago, I was discussing theology and Christianity with a shop owner of musical instruments in Nanuet, NY. In the end, he asked the same question that Pontius Pilate did in the Biblical quote above. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the answers that I do now, and I wish I could go back to the time of that conversation. The question, “what is truth?” is a great question, and the answer to it is easier than one might think. I first heard of this discovery in several different works from Norman Geisler [1] and J. P.
