A couple years ago I wrote an article called  the Jehovah’s Witness training videos . The article was meant to be humorous in a sense, because there are likely not any actual training videos, but it seems that they have all watched them. We can suspect this because they all often have the same points of conversation. When you talk about the Trinity, they will use the Bible like a machine gun and shoot you with verses. The verses are always the same: Colossians 1:15, Mark 10:18… So, there is an implication that they all have the same information. There is one source from where they gather their patterns and behaviors. Similarly, I think we can see the power behind the system of the world as well. We can see what this power is like by the tracks he leaves behind. An idea often presented is that all sins are the same through the eyes of God. The problem with this is that it goes much deeper than that. Let’s examine the word of God… James 2:10 says, “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it” (NIV). The phrase “all sins are the same” likely came from this verse. The question of whether all sins are the same or not lies in the usage of the word, “sin.”   James explains that  if you are a Law breaker  (meaning, if you break one of the 613 commandments found in the Law of Moses),  then you have sinned against God, thereby placing yourself in need of salvation . Jesus even takes these commands further and says that if you look at a woman with lust in your heart, then you are guilty of adultery (breaking the 7 th  Commandment; See Matthew 5:28). In the discussion of homosexuality, I always hear about how we should focus more on evangelizing those who identify as such and stop condemning the lifestyle and the person, etc. I feel like many Christians have stopped saying that homosexuality is wrong because they are more concerned with loving LGBTQ people but  love, by itself, is not the gospel .  Many people do not even know where to start in such a discussion, so this article seeks to get one started in a cordial discussion with one who identifies as LGBTQ.  Since people have such hardened hearts concerning such things, some direction in an often difficult conversation is beneficial.  I am also concerned with the idea that homosexuality and transgenderism is an acceptable, logical, and beneficial way to live. Throughout history, there have been a number of people with all different types of theological backgrounds who try to refute the orthodox views found in the Bible. There are people all the way from Jehovah’s Witnesses , to Mormonism to Evangelicalism who do not adhere to the truth found in the Bible. In any event, no one is capable of perfect theology, and for this reason, one’s ideas and such must be lined up with the Word of God.  It is this compass with which truth shall be revealed and fortunately for us, the Word of God is unchanging, and for good reason. The danger of unorthodox, false teachings and doctrines can lead someone astray from salvation and hinder someone from realizing God’s love. With this in mind, it seems to be a necessary duty to correct, rebuke and exhort with great patience and long suffering.
